I have made a few changes to the "data" share that should benefit those of you who use it. The data is now made available via an FTP (file transfer protocol) site. This allows you the ability not only to download "data" but also upload your own "data" to this share. This is a great way for you show your appreciation to those who have contributed by leaving files for them also!
Please note; you have access to download and upload files, but to protect the data, you do not have the ability to delete any files or folders. I have done this as a precaution to make sure that no "data" accidentally disappears. So, if you are uploading a directory of data to the site, make sure that you have named the files and folders exactly as you want them to appear after you have put them on the site. You will not be able to rename them or delete them later. However, if you do accidentally put data where it does not belong or name files or folders incorrectly, please send me a quick e-mail and I will take care of it!
How do I upload data, you ask!? Great question and the answer is, its super easy! Simply follow the link below to the data share using the name and password that you have been given. For a reason I have yet to figure out, once you take the link, you have to refresh your page using the refresh button on the top of your toolbar in order for the name and password dialog box to appear. Once it does, type in your name and password and press OK. The contents of the data share will now show up as folders in your browser window. You can upload and download files or even folders containing files simply by dragging and dropping just as you would in Windows Explorer or My Computer. (Told you it was easy!)
